Attention All Conservative Bloggers!

The Republican Party has historically been the Conservative Party, our party, but it has been pretty disappointing by abandoning America's First Principles, practically only supporting incumbant Republicans, and supporting a maverick Republican over Reagan Conservative Fred Thompson for President (my opinion added).
But the Republican Party has created us a major opportunity to influence the Party with our pro-freedom Conservative Ideas by influencing the Party Platform.
I thought Conservative Bloggers, like us, would like to know that we can influence the Republican Party by influencing the Republican Platform by going to www.gopplatform2008.com. Hopefully we can influence it enough to have a Conservative Republican Platform, and maybe it will force John McCain to support Conservative Ideas that he might otherwise not support. Let's basically twist John McCain's arm into supporting Conservative Ideas because he will have to support Republican Platform planks.
Let's take advantage of this opportunity.
I also blogged about www.gopplatform2008.com on my Townhall.com blog: http://conservativefactor.blogtownhall.com/2008/07/11/conservative_influ...
1) it's considered bad form to recommend your own post here and
2) after recommending my post on this issue and commenting there you could have at least given a H/T?

I know there are a lot of like minded people on this blog but I also know that not many of them have truly given up on the Republican party as I have. Do you have any idea how it would feel, after garnering a little hope, to put in what we believe and want just have none of it included in the platform?
I mean, if the Republican Party wants to rid itself of conservatives, that is their right, and that's life. However, trying to string us along with gimmicks like this just isn't right. That's just too reminiscent of what the Democratic Party is doing.
